"Aaahh... I didn't think I drank that much, but now I'm dizzy."

Pyrrha lay on her back on one of the twin beds in their room at the inn. She'd already stripped off her armor and it lay with her things, including her sword and shield, on the other side of the room. Once upon a time, she never would have left her weapons out of arm's reach, and would have had to weigh the wisdom of taking off her armor, too. But that was before Riahon came along.

She never expected their companionship to last, because nothing ever lasted in Pyrrha's life. But despite trials and tribulations, through many dangers, he was still here. Still alive, to fight beside her. Still her friend, and the first one Pyrrha had in recent memory.

She hiccuped, and giggled as she pushed herself upright, fumbling for a glass of water on the bedside table. Just the fact she felt safe enough to indulge at the tavern downstairs spoke to how Riahon's presence changed everything. She glanced fondly at him as she sipped her water.

"Mmmh... that wine was stronger than I thought." She shook her head, as though shaking off the effects. "What about you? Are you OK?"
